To Do Tuesday 12-12-17 | Merry ☠mas

Hello and Happy Tuesday, friends! Is anyone else feeling the holiday crunch? I know I am! My list for last week had secret sewing (done!), baking (done!), and mailing all packages off by Saturday (DONE!!!!). It was quite a week, but I managed to get it all done and packages assembled and mailed off by Saturday, thanks to my family. I figured the post office would be packed on Saturday and when we arrived the parking lot was full. But when I walked into the service lobby, there was no line! I walked right up to the counter. What a treat! I also wrapped everyone’s presents this weekend and did my monthly checkbook balancing and payed bills. That’s a jam-packed weekend if you ask me!

Stitch ALL The Things | Merry Xmas Prairie Moon

I did finish stitching Prairie Moon’s Merry ☠mas. I absolutely loved stitching this chart. I had someone offer to trade me their Stitch Night at The Crypt Club chart for this one, and I happily agreed since I don’t have that chart. I can’t wait for it to arrive!

Stitch ALL The Things | Bargello strips

I did start sewing the strips together for the bargello quilt. I have 12 days to get this quilt finished, so I need to kick it in high gear. I hope to have the top assembled by this coming weekend, baste it over the weekend, and then quilt it next week. We’ll see how that goes. This quilt is my sole focus over the next 12 days.

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season and that your plans are going smoothly!

This week’s To-Do list:

  • Finish Bargello quilt top, baste quilt sandwich

Now it’s your turn! Write up your post and link up using the InLinkz linky below.

  1. Sounds like a very busy but productive week. All the best with the Bargello quilt, I find when I focus on one thing usually great progress is made. Looking forward to seeing it.

  2. Yay for productive weeks! I;m so glad you didn’t have any post office drama. I love the finished Prairie Moon project. Those skeletons are super cute! I googled Stitch Night at The Crypt Club and think it looks very cool, and very much like your kind of cross stitch. Great trade! Good luck with the bargello – hopefully, since it’s your sole project for the week, you’ll make great progress!

    1. The post office was a happy surprise! I love the Prairie Moon charts so much. Defnitely my style. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find the right size frame. So annoying, but I don’t actually want to go out actively shopping for a frame either. Not until the holidays are over anyway!

  3. Hi Christine,
WOWEE, you had a super productive weekend. Holy moly! Packages not only mailed but all wrapped. Cripes – my list looks pathetic compared to yours. I’m cheering you on to get that bargello quilt all together. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. Cheers for such a productive week! Will you be framing and adding Prairie Moon’s Merry ☠mas to your decorations this season? I hope you enjoy the bargello process one the next 12 days! What a wonderful gift that will be!

    1. Thank you!! I was looking for a frame for the Prairie Moon piece, but I couldn’t find a 10 x 10 at Hobby Lobby. I need to go to Walmart and see what they have, as well as Goodwill, but I’m staying far, far away from those places until the holidays are over!!

  5. I think slowing down to enjoy the season is smart! So many aspects can allow us to slide into “Overwhelmed!” One quilt. Twelve days. Awesome. Here’s to a chilled out season. Have fun with it!

    1. It’s definitely nice to not have to be working on many projects right now. Just the one, and there’s really no stress to get it completely finished before Christmas. As long as the top is complete (and it will be), that will be enough!!

    1. Thank you! I’m still working on the bargello. It won’t be completely finished, but having the top done will be good enough to give as a gift. Then I can take it back and finish it over winter break!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment... You just made my day!!
