Hello, and Happy Tuesday, friends! Also, Happy [Early] Thanksgiving if you are celebrating this week! I hope this week is finding you well and not too stressed out as the holiday approaches. I don’t have any plans this week other than to make sure the turkey is thawed, and enjoy an indulgent meal with my family while reflecting on all the many blessings in our lives.
Last week was very busy, but I still ended up accomplishing a lot! I’m back to making project bags, but I’ve made sure to not add any amounts of pressure to myself. Since there were no hard deadlines, no trying to find the perfect fabrics, just lots of fun sewing, I had a fantastic time! I picked a theme for the week, Harvest/Fall/Thanksgiving and managed to whip up 5 bags in about 3 days’ worth of work time. All but one (the second Harvest zip top/Glitter vinyl bottom bag) sold the same day I posted them on my Destash account! What a successful sewing week!
I love the colors in this fall leaves bag, and the gold metallic on the leaves is the perfect accent! I chose the orange glitter vinyl because the gold glitter I had was just too bright. I think the orange accents the orange leaf nicely.
It’s hard to see that there is a difference between the two Give Thanks bags, unless you notice my 12″ long ruler beside the bags in the picture. One is a 16.5″ square bag, and the other is a 13.5″ square bag. This print was one of my favorites of my Fall prints. I love the black background and the chalk effect of the writing. There is some gold metallic accent in this one too. Everything about this print, including the Thanksgiving Menu, makes me smile!
I also managed to make some good progress on my Peace on Earth stitching. I anticipate finishing this one by Tuesday night or Wednesday night! I’ve been working up to stitching my favorite part of this piece, the Cardinal. I’m so excited to have finally made it to the upper right hand corner and started stitching on that bird!
I hope you all have a wonderful week. I am thankful for all of you and grateful that you share your weekly projects with me here!

Hi Christine! Perfect pictures and projects for the season. I just love the fabrics you chose, and everything turned out so well. Peace on Earth is coming along so nicely, too. It won’t be long and you’ll be looking for a frame for it. Happy Tuesday to you. ~smile~ Roseanne
