Hello, and Happy Tuesday, friends. I am having internet and computer troubles this week, so I am putting up a quick post from my phone.
This past week had us saying good bye to Josh as he was sworn in to the Navy. Seeing him take the oath was such a moving moment, and I could not have been more proud. He flew out of Phoenix to Great Lakes, IL on the 27th. I received a scripted phone call from him that he arrived later that night and now I await his belongings that were being sent back, a form letter, and hopefully a phone call in a few weeks. We are so very proud of him and I am praying that he is settling in okay. I know the first few weeks are the hardest, but he is such an affable kid I think he will have no problems.
We left Arizona and headed to Oregon the day after Josh left. We arrived to find our 100 year old apple tree loaded down with apples! The branches were touching the ground. We bought some boards to prop them up and take some of the weight. That tree is a beauty, but are we gonna have enough apples to feed the whole city! (Not quite, but you know what I mean.)
I also stitched a bit on Grimes Ghost on our travel days. He is coming along quite nicely.
No to-do list for me this week as we have some resting to do after the past couple of weeks we’ve had! I hope you all are well and I will catch up on your posts soon!

Hi Christine,
I can’t believe Josh is at Great Lakes! I live in Wisconsin but work in Illinois, and drive past Great Lakes every work day. He has been experiencing really hot and humid weather lately but it should calm down a bit after the 4th hopefully. Safe travels to you and wishes for a Happy 4th of July! Happy Tuesday! ~smile~ Roseanne

We live in the western suburbs of Chicago (about an hour from Great Lakes Naval base). When does he graduate from there?
