Hello, friends! Is it just me or did the first week of the year just fly by? I hope the rest of the year won’t feel the same way!
Last week I had on my list that I wanted to finish binding Josh’s quilt before he returned home. There was an emergency that required us to pick up the kids a day early, so I didn’t get to have it ready for his return. I did have it finished two days later though, and he absolutely loves it!
I asked him to take a picture with his quilt, and he couldn’t stop smiling. Normally he is really annoyed with me when I take pictures of him, and more so when I ask him to hold a quilt for me. He can’t stand the quilt pictures. There’s no denying he didn’t mind it today with that big smile on his face. Haha!
This coming week I’ll be working on the final commission that I committed to doing in November. Once this order is complete I will have some time to go through my quilt tops and UFO’s and see what I want to finish, as well as decide if I want to make any new quilts this year (the answer is yes, definitely yes), and what quilt patterns those may be. I forgot to write a Finish Friday post for the Sturgis Quilt, so I have that on my list as well as one for the Surf Song quilt. I also had some secret holiday sewing I did, and I have a Finish Friday post planned for that as well. It’s nice to not have so many deadlines that I can plan on writing extra posts this year, besides the To-Do Tuesday posts!
This week’s To-Do list:
- Bag order
- Figure out 2018 plans.
- Finish Friday post
Now it’s your turn! Write up your post and link up using the InLinkz linky below.
Rules:
- Link up to this To-Do Tuesday blog post using the InLinkz linky below. Don’t forget: you can link up Instagram photos! The link up is open all week, and you can link any post for the week even if it’s written on the prior Sunday or Monday. It simply needs to be related to setting, working on, and/or completing your weekly goal(s).
- Try to visit at least one or two other blogs and leave a nice comment.
- Include a link back to my blog. Feel free to grab the blog button from the sidebar to show that you’re participating in To-Do Tuesday.
- You do not have to follow my blog to participate, but if you do decide to follow me… thank you! I appreciate it!

Hi Christine,
How wonderful are those pictures!! Josh – you brought a big smile to my face this morning, buddy! Good job! And fabulous job on the quilt – look at the movement in those colors. I can see why he is smiling so broadly. Can’t wait to see what shows up on your to-do list next week! ~smile~ Roseanne

Thank you! It makes me feel wonderful seeing how much Josh loves his quilt. It’s always such a nice feeling knowing that others appreciate our work and the gift of warmth and our love that we give them when making a quilt!

Thank you, Sharon! He’s thrilled that he finally has his quilt. I still feel bad it took so long, but he says he doesn’t care about the wait…just that he finally got a quilt!
