Hello, friends! This week went by so fast. I wanted to take pictures of the status of my current cross stitching WIPs, but I forgot. I will try to remember for next week.
This week I had a commissioned order to make a Christmas themed Project Bag with this adorable Gingerbread House fabric. I LOVE the combination of the mint and pink for Christmas colors. I originally bought a red with white polka dots fabric as the accent for this print, but when I had the fabric at home I spied the pink striped print in my stash. When I pulled it and placed it next to the Christmas fabric…BAM! It was a perfect match. And now I wish I had ordered more than a half yard when I bought this a while ago. It’s out of print now. Bummer. I have enough of the striped fabric to make one more bag like this. If no one requests it, a bag just like this one might end up with me!
I have three more bags to make this week. The orders are trickling in, and at a manageable rate for me. I have to admit to feeling a bit burned out, so it’s nice to only have a couple to make per week, rather than two per day. I foresee some quilting time in my future. The Mister’s quilt needs to be done! We also have our fingers crossed that the weather will be nice for us to drive to Oregon for Spring Break. I am so looking forward to seeing the house again! We’ll have a bunch of work to do in a short amount of time, but that’s fine by me!
This week’s To-Do list:
- Work on two commissions

What is the pattern for your project bag? I’m going to make some, but, having a pattern would make it easier.

That bag is adorable. Maybe I should commission you to make one for me…maybe that will get me back into a cross-stitching mood. I am going to need something to keep me busy on my 3 spring and summer 9+ hour road trips…. Hmmm….

Maybe someone should tell me which fabrics they like best, and if they want the big bag or the smaller bag and then they will magically get one in the mail for the hours long drives they will be having!! Especially since their birthday is only a few days a way and someone else didn’t remember it until last night.

I just started a hand embroidery color wheel sampler. Might have to order a bag from you! 😉 I have an adorable Wyndham Fabrics paint chip fabric I think would work just fine. I’m glad you are able to get to some of your own quilting and are looking forward to your Spring trip to Oregon!

I think I picked up a really cute paint chip fabric a while back, I’ll have to see if it’s Wyndham Fabrics!
