Happy Tuesday! This past week I did not get any sewing done. I was in full on procrastination mode. I spent a lot of time hanging out with the Mister, and I loved every moment of it. Sometimes you just need that time to step away, relax, and be present with the people around you. I did get some cross stitching done in the evenings though, and am excited to share a finish for Clue 8, and some progress on the ninth, and final, clue! I am so happy to be so close to being done. I have one, maybe two, evenings left to stitch on this. Once this is done I’ll be picking up an old WIP that I’ll talk about next week, as well as starting work on a new pattern. I’ll be rotating between the two so that I won’t get burnt out on them.
On Monday I almost managed to get all of the fabric and interfacing pieces cut out for a new bag. The white piece pictured is fusible fleece and not the main print. I can’t show that quite yet. I ran out of SF101 and Fusible Fleece while cutting out pattern pieces so I will be making a trip to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get the rest of that and begin working on this bag.

I cannot wait to see the finished Wacky Witches. It’s so cute! Also excited to see those bags once they are completed. Glad you enjoyed your lazy week. You deserved it!

The Whacky Witches pattern really is so cute! I was going to frame it, but I think it will be way too expensive for either an oval frame or an oval mat. Not only that, I do not have any place to hang it. I am thinking of a pillow form for this one. I just have to figure out how to do that without the evenweave stretching too much. YouTube videos, here I come!

You are so close! Looks like you will have the cross stitch completed by Halloween. And another new bag started to inspire us. Hope your shopping plans go well so you can work on your projects.

I’m hoping to have it finished by tonight! Yay! I just got back from the store and found what I needed. I about panicked because I couldn’t find any SF101, but then saw they had bolt tucked away with a little bit left on it. Whew! Now off to work!

Thanks! I am excited to get this bag finished! I can’t believe I put off making it for so long. My fingers are crossed it will come together easily. It should, according to the instructions, but Murphy’s Law always comes into play for me! Haha!

I did the same thing. I had a long weekend away with Mr. Wonderful, but sneaked a quilt into my bag to work on. Lucky I did! The bigger thing when we’re enjoying that time away was not cracking my computer once. A break is good for everyone. I say Amen.

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I agree that disconnecting from the internet is a really good break. That needs to happen more often around here!
