To-Do Tuesday

To-Do Tuesday 7-12-16 | Needle and Foot

This week’s To-Do Tuesday is being hosted by Bernie of Needle and Foot. Make sure you head over to THIS post and link up your To-Do Tuesday post.

After linking up, it would be great if you could browse around and get to know a little more about Bernie and what she’s been up to lately. Be sure and take a look at the vintage patchwork quilt top she made out of vintage sheets; it looks amazing! She also recently reviewed a book that I’ll be checking out based on her post. I also loved reading her tutorial on creating a simple pattern out of a garment. She made some new PJs that are completely adorable and this is definitely a post I will be saving for future reference!

This week the Mister and I worked hard and crossed quite a few big items of our To-Do list. The biggest one, for me, was to paint the downstairs bedroom. I don’t have “after” pictures yet because I almost have the bedroom set up and didn’t want to take pictures before it was done. I also have a couple of things to add to the upstairs bedroom and then I’ll take pictures of both finished rooms to share next week. I am excited with how everything is coming together!

    1. We are finally slowing down with the home improvement this summer. Whew! The built ins are great… And huge!! The hinges and internal catches have all been painted over (numerous times), so some doors won’t close as flush as I would like, and others you practically have to slam to have the internal catches “catch”. Fixing all of that is another To-Do on our list for further down the road. The drawers all work smoothly, the only issue is that they tilt down when you pull them out over halfway. It’s not a problem once you know about it, but the first time you open the drawer and feel like it’s dropping on you, it gives you a jolt!
