This week’s To-Do Tuesday is being hosted by Amy of Swimming In A Sea Of Estrogen. Make sure you head over to THIS post and link up your To-Do Tuesday post.
Once you’ve linked up, be sure to hang around and get to know a little more about Amy. She is one busy woman! I’ve been blown away at how much she accomplishes every week. Between creating a stunning medieval LARP costume, her daughter getting married, another daughter making it to the state softball championships, I’m amazed at all her ability to get it all done. And that doesn’t count the remodel she’s been working on! Seriously, you should stay a while and get to see all of Amy’s projects, including her recent quilt finish.
The landscapers came on Monday and completely spiffied up the yard. They finished cleaning up the beds, transplanted the Cannas to the back yard, pulled out a whole lot of weeds, wild blackberry bushes and mint from the back corner of the yard, put hemlock bark in all of the beds, and mowed the lawn (Thank heavens! I was starting to have to follow the dogs around to find their little gifts to the yard as they presented them and before they disappeared in the waist-high [to them] grass). It looks amazing out there right now, although the pictures do not do it justice since the lighting was bad.
This week’s To-Do list:
- Paint upstairs bedroom

The yard looks SO MUCH better! And I love your description: “weeds & crap”. Perfect. BTW, what color are you painting the bathroom?

The pictures do not even do it justice! It looks fantabulous! The owner of the landscaping business came by yesterday and really took ownership of getting the lawn in shape. He told us of his plan to get rid of the weeds (and the damn mint that is starting to take over everything!!!), and how he wants to get some space around the base of the trees so there’s no damage done to them when they mow. He’s a really fantastic guy, I am so glad we found him. I am actually painting the upstairs bedroom, and I chose the HGTV Sherwin-Williams paint in Tradewind Blue from Lowe’s. It’s a green-blue, and different from the Sherwin-Williams Tradewind paint color. I tried to find the color online, but only find the SW Tradewind. I am thinking I will paint the downstairs bedroom this color too. I’ll know for sure after I get this bedroom painted.

Well, I think you probably know after our last email that “crap” was not exactly the word I’d choose, but it is the more appropriate one for blogging… Hahaha!! The yard really is coming along, and I’m thrilled with the work the landscapers did. They’ll be maintaining it for us for a while, so hopefully we’ll get the weeds in the lawn itself taken care of.
Thanks so much for hosting the Link Up this week! I really appreciate your help!!

Thanks, Sharon! Slowly, but surely, we are coming along! More outside work than inside, but we’ll get there eventually!
