However you are celebrating this year, I wish you happiness and joy! My family celebrates Christmas, so “Merry Christmas” wishes are always appreciated by us!

This month there has been no sewing, but every week there seems to be something sewing related happening. This past week I received the Quilter’s Planner I pre-ordered from Late Night Quilter during her indiegogo campaign. The campaign is over, but you can still buy them from The Fat Quarter Shop.

I had a really difficult time managing my time and sewing projects during this year. When I saw The Quilter’s Planner I thought/hoped that this may be a way to help me commit to getting my WIPs and Want-To-Make projects finished and be organized in doing so. We won’t talk about the fact that I am an office supplies addict and that this may have strongly appealed to that side of me. Sssshhhhh!!! I’ve already entered all the Birthdays and Important Events into the calendar. I have already filled out an “Idea Page” in the planner and sketched out a couple versions of a quilt I had rolling around in my head. I really want this to work out, so I am going to make every effort to utilize this planner as much as possible!

My other sewing news this week is that I received a fat quarter bundle of Fibs and Fables by Anna Maria Horner I ordered from Massdrop. Oh boy, do I love it! I wanted to start making a quilt top right away! I restrained myself as I have way too many quilt tops to finish right now. But it sure does look pretty and inviting sitting on my shelf!
I hope you all have been continuing to enjoy your holiday season. This time of year I look around and realize how wonderful life truly is and I am so very grateful that God has blessed me beyond measure. With treasured family members, amazing friends, and so much more. I am grateful for you all too, and blessed by your encouragement and inspiration too!

Ahhh. Organizing for the new year. That Quilter’s Planner is such a good idea! I looked at it, but didn’t buy it, might still get it tho. My plan is to gather all those quilts I have started, and also make a list of the ones I want to work on, and get ‘er done in 2016! That is a pretty pile of fabric you’ve got there. What will you make with it? I like Massdrop too, maybe a bit too much. Merry Christmas, and God bless you this coming New Year!

2016 will be the year we get our WIPs finished and get other projects done that we have waiting in the wings! Every time I see this pretty fabric bundle I think “Churn Dash”. So I will be making a traditional quilt with this fabric! Merry Christmas to you all and a very Happy New year!
