Happy Tuesday! I hope you’ve all had an amazing week! I’m posting this a few hours early so that I can link up with Blossom Heart Quilts for Sew Cute Tuesday.
I was pretty happy to have completed the majority of my list this past week. I moved one item from the “Do when time allows” list to “This weeks list”. I’ve been meaning to make a mini-quilt as a Thank You gift and I simply could not delay sending it out any longer. So I changed my list around to make that a priority.

This was my first mini-quilt, and I absolutely loved making it! I used Jaybird Quilts Mini Hex N More rule and with the Mini-Disco pattern. The fabric used was left over scraps of Modern Solids that I used to make the Vintage Quilt Revival blocks. I used Aurifil 50 wt. #2605 for piecing (not pictured), Aurifil 50 wt variegated thread #4648 for quilting, and Aurifil 50 wt #5005 for binding. The backing was my favorite part of the “fairyland” print by DeLeon Design Group for Alexander Henry. The quilt is currently on the way to its intended recipient.I surely hope she likes it!

The Skill Builder Chevron Star/Churn Dash block was quilted early in the week, and then I got to work on the mini-quilt. By Sunday I was able to get all of the Vintage Quilt Revival sashing and corner stone blocks cut out, and decided on a layout. The pattern does not call for an outer border, but I thought a border in the same fabric, and the same size, as the sashing pieces would really make the blocks look nice. I cut that border out, and right now I have about three-quarters of the quilt top assembled. I should have the top completed by tomorrow. Yay!
