Sunday Stash

Sunday Stash #4: #thegreatfabricdestash

Instagram has been a great way of connecting with other quilters/sewists/sewers/people-who-sew (choose your preferred title, ya’ll). It was also amazing to watch unfold on instagram what would pretty much be considered a massive virtual swap-meet of people needing to destash. And I was able to snag some fabrics I have been really pining over.

I really just started sewing in the last two years, and ended up missing most of the releases of Tula Pink’s fabric lines. So I was glad to snag some prints from her Parisville line. I literally squealed when I opened the package and saw the fabrics. They are so much more gorgeous in real life than in any picture I’ve seen them in.

Beautiful, beautiful Parisville

The other fabrics I managed to get in thegreatdestash was this fat quarter bundle of Melody Miller Typewriter fabric. I wasn’t in the quilting/sewing world when this line was released, but fell in love with it as soon as I saw other people post pictures of projects made with the fabrics. I bought this bundle from Gina_Pina on instagram, and she even added some lovely scraps and a Melody Miller Typewriter sticker to the bundle. Thanks, Gina Pina… I absolutely love these fabrics!

I didn’t go crazy during the destash, but I did get some of two fabric lines that I have been loving on from afar. And I’m very pleased with that!
