Sew much done and nothing to show for it…

Time to bind!
Time to bind!

I have been like a madwoman for the past two weeks, trying to get all of my projects done before Christmas.  I’ve been sewing from 8am to 5pm, and then doing my hand sewing and embroidery after dinner until sometime between 10pm and 11pm.

Thank goodness the Mister understands my sewing frenzy and he has been running all the errands and doing all the shopping for the household to give me as much sewing time as possible.

Genius that I am, I decided that the three BOM clubs I worked on during the year would make perfect Christmas presents.  However, I didn’t quite think through the part where I had to finish the last blocks in December, then sash, assemble, quilt & bind them.  BEFORE Christmas Day (which didn’t dawn on me until a few days ago).

Needless to say, I have managed to get a lot of projects done and am in the home stretch.  It’s a LONG home-stretch though, since I just completed an extra quilt top today and basted another top to be quilted tomorrow.  My fingers are crossed that I can get the other two basted, quilted and bound in 8 days’ time.
