To-Do Tuesday 10-27-15 | Student Driving and Secret Sewing

Happy Tuesday! A busy week over here, even if I was in the sewing room for only a short amount of time. Josh, my second child, passed his driving permit test this past week so a lot of time has been focused on starting his driver’s training. He is doing amazingly well and I am so proud!

Because he is just starting out learning to drive, we’re also having him help participate in any auto work/maintenance we have that crops up. The distributor on Mister’s truck just recently started making a noise, so he and Josh worked on replacing it this weekend. Josh seemed to enjoy learning and, joy of joys, the distributor was replaced with no issues in about two hours. Yay!

Fabrics and Hardware for a secret sewing project

I didn’t have time for sewing this week, but did pick a pattern and pulled fabrics for some secret sewing I have to get done in the next week and a half. This will be my sole focus this week and I will be able to reveal it after mid-November.

  1. Congrats to your son! And hope you and the Mister enjoy all the time you will be spending in the car with him as he racks up his hours and days towards receiving the drivers license! My hubs had daughter #2 out working on her car this weekend, she needed brakes! Just like you, I’m glad he is teaching them some hands on repairs instead of just doing it himself.

Hope that secret project goes well. Can’t wait for the reveal for what you are doing with those music theme fabrics!

    1. He and Josh have had some extra auto challenges this week, so they’ve been working together to get them fixed. I am loving that Josh is actually interested in this! He’s doing fantastic with his driving too. I am so proud of him!

I’ve got all the fabrics cut out and I just have to fuse the interfacing to the pieces before I can start sewing. I am pretty excited about this project and I can’t wait to share it! Only two more weeks and then I can!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment... You just made my day!!
